In 1982, Chick had an outstanding working band: Steve Kujala on flute and saxophone, Carles Benavent on bass, Don Alias on percussion and Tom Brechtlein on drums. With this diverse and masterful lineup, Chick and the band produced a hugely enjoyable set, at times free and interpretive, and at others locking into a beautiful groove.
